Bakunin is on page 50 of 416 of Getting More: How to Negotiate to Achieve Your Goals in the Real World
This is surprisingly good and contains much common sense. The problem is one often gets too emotional in negotiations and fails to see the other persons point of view (which is really the key to success here).

Still funny. I love how he summarizes a chapter by emphasizing how funny his jokes are.

Bakunin
Bakunin is on page 150 of 720 of Bertrand Russell. 1872-1920: The Spirit of Solitude (#1)
I had not idea that Russell was this solitary a figure. Quite gloomy. Monk paints a portrait of the philosopher which is far from flattering yet one understands where his malice toward the external world is coming from. Parts of his life are also absurd: who ever heard of convincing someone to marry him by using Hegel?

Very intriguing! I didn't know that Russell was this conflicted as a person. Russell had three passions which governed his life which were "the longing for love, the search fo knowledge and unbearable pity for the suffering of man kind. These passions, like great winds, have blown hither and thither, in a waywar course, over a deep ocean of anguish"

Hilarious! Comic satire about England during the 1890's.

I love this. This book contains both the bio of one of the most successful movie poster design artists of all time as well as his bio. A real source of inspiration!

"Here, in other words, at the heart of the maelstrom threatering to suck in the whole of the civilised world, is a pathetic conspiracy o fdeial; a denial of responsibility which has turned in on itself and gone sour, manifesting itself in the sort of pompous defensiveness I have encountered so often" (p. 192)

Bakunin is on page 120 of 256 of Counterpoint: A Memoir of Bach and Mourning
This memoir of mourning and music has made me think back to when I started learning to play the piano. The author manages to capture both the anxieties and how stimulating it can be to actually allow a piece of music to come alive. To get to know it as you would an actual person. The author often comes back to that very question: how well can you actually know a piece?
