This is awful. There are so many contradictions and the FMC is so annoying, she is a mouthy pain in the ass. The only reason I’m not DNF’ing is because that is not how I want to start a new year, I won’t be a quitter yet 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have skimmed some reviews trying to figure out why there are so many low ones because this book is amazing so far. If you don’t like horror movies, don’t watch them, if you don’t like comedy, don’t watch it, if you don’t like history, don’t go visit a museum….See where I’m going with this. The author puts out the warnings, if you are triggered don’t read it and then leave a shit review

Normally a slow burn would bore me but this one is the hottest slow burn I have ever read

At 20% I was in love with this story and at 25% I am considering shelving it as DNF for one reason… miscommunication. When you ghost someone and don’t understand why they’ve changed so much but refuse to speak to them and communicate 🤦🏻‍♀️ I don’t know if I can bring myself to waste my time on this

This story is far too over detailed and I already feel like it could have been much shorter. The over telling of everything is making it a struggle to get through

There’s no chemistry between any of the characters and not enough back story to make me feel invested in this story. This will be the end of the mindfuck series for me

DNF @15% I hate to do this because I have loved everything I have ever read by this author but I just can’t with the preppy, spoiled, rich kid student theme of this story. It’s just not for me so I’m not going to continue with it

Holy slow burn…..

I’m a mood reader and I’m in the mood for dark… I’m just going to remind myself this is a Nightmare Before Christmas retelling and technically they are all already dead 😉

I’ve never run to start a book so fast. That cliffhanger left me desperate to know how this plays out..

This is why I try not to get sucked into books that are hyped online… this book is dragging and not living up to the hype for me. If it doesn’t pick up soon I might have to shelf this series and read something else before picking up book 3

Someone please tell me this story gets better… I am struggling to not DNF another book. 50% in and the story is dragging and spice everyone raves about is non existent.

I didn’t love the first one and am feeling the same way so far about this one. Sure we all love a spicy retelling but I personally need a good story to with it too.

I’m struggling to get through this. Zane & Juniper are a million times more exciting than Rae & Leon but I think I’m struggling to finish this book because I already know the end result. All 4 characters had the same goal and it was accomplished in book 1

I’m enjoying it but not loving it. The story is moving too slow for me and there is a lack of chemistry between Leon and Rae. I’m really hoping this picks up because I have been really looking forward to reading this one

I wish I could abandon all responsibilities to just sit and binge this until the end. This story is so good and so well written. So far it’s a 5⭐️ read for me
