I kinda thought Campbell was done with this series (moving on to prequels and spinoffs) and I was stunned to realize it's been 6 years since the previous entry, but here we are and honestly I couldn't be happier, even if it means poor Admiral Geary just can't catch a break

given that I was 12 books ahead of schedule (thank you, Lincoln Child and Vivien Chien), I made the executive decision to bump up my reading challenge from 60 to 75 (I'm actually on track for 80+ but you never know when the reading doldrums will hit, particularly since I'm still fooling myself into thinking I'm going to read Night of the Swarm some time this summer).

I have to say, I never expected to tear through Lincoln Child's Jeremy Logan books like that, I was just looking for a change of pace and instead I read all 5 books in ~2 weeks. Admittedly, they're not that big (300-350 pages) by my standards, but still I guess I didn't realize how much I was craving a Crichton-esque pseudo-scientific horror-tinged mystery thriller series...
