ish (why oh why do I never remember to check what page I'm on?), hopefully finish tonight or tomorrow (only three days overdue...)

It was due yesterday so I'm actually making an effort to finish it (not that it's bad or that I haven't been enjoying it, just been distracted by rereading Safehold)

turns out... man was the real monster, after all... well... actually the giant shark is a real monster too... and there's something else nasty in the trench, so... maybe more like man is ONE of the real monsters... or something...
