RIP Chris Cornell. I didn't keep up with his post-90's career, but Soundgarden is a really big deal to any musicians who were teenagers in the early nineties. I'm surprisingly sad about this.

No better day to start reading the second volume of Bell's phenomenal bio than on the release date of Dylan's final installment of his American songbook trilogy. Ha it starts with a discussion of how pointless it is if he ever wins the Nobel (obv. written before he was given the award)...

My "to-read" list is no longer trustworthy. Finding things on it I never put there. I guess I should blame jittery iPhone pokes on public transportation. Anyway. That new Mount Eerie is a sad record and beautiful. I feel bad for Phil Elverum.
