Well that was unexpected. I didn’t think Curie would be so openly hostile to tonists.

Earlier the thunderhead asked why it was not worthy of being worshipped. But now it says it doesn’t want to be and it chose not to be? The thunderhead keeps getting more and more human.

Oh no!! Rowans captured!! I know he’ll get out, but how and when?

Greyson really is on his own.

Will Greyson ever be able to back to his old life as Greyson is he wants to?? Or is his file completely and irrevocably changed? Which Scythe leaned Traxler?

I love Rowan. He’s such a cool character and I really like his personality.

These places are so cool!!! I wish they existed in real life. It would be amazing to just be able to break rules with no consequences whatsoever. I want to go to the prison one especially.

That’s so cool!! I think I would work in a place like that if I had the chance. Maybe not the fifties, but something like that.

Why does the thunderhead keep something that big from humanity? And surely someone could figure that out on their own right?

One of the original Scythes was Sappho! Does the thunderhead have a personal agenda?

I don’t like Tyger at all. I think he’s immature, selfish, and shallow. If he had t become an apprentice I think he would have become bored very quickly.

I really like Faraday. And this book is so interesting. I have so many questions and i love learning about the world from the little snippets of the thunderheads thoughts.

The thunderhead is actually really smart. That’s the point though I guess. I’m not sure if it’s plans so far, but I think it may have something to do with Tyger.

Citra is a griffindore. I really hope there isn’t a love triangle between her and Rowan and Greyson.

Why would the Thunderhead tell Greyson to do something and then make him unsavoury?

Was the person who jumped in front of the car Greyson? I’m glad this book is focusing more on the Thunderhead.

I think Greysons gonna break the law. Is the thunderhead ambitious? Does it want to extend to other planets?

What kind of apprenticeship is this going to be? One that focuses on Goddard teachings? And I thought Scythe Rand was dead?

I don’t trust Tyger at all.

Their dynamic has changed. I hope they get back to where they were before, but I’m not sure if they will. Are there any people left alive from the mortal age?

I wonder if the thunderhead approves of how Citra is gleaning. It’s clear they approve of Rowan, but I don’t know about Citra.

That’s an interesting way of communicating with the thunderhead. It sort of implies that the thunderhead is god.

This chapter was mainly exposition of things I already know, but that’s okay.

Rowan sure has made a name for himself. I hope he doesn’t lose what he’s trying to do by getting caught up in the killing.

I love them!!!! They're so nice!!! !!!!!!!!!! I love their relationship so much. !!!!! I think that maybe Scythe Lucifer is Rowan going after everyone who wants to be a Scythe and bring the Scythedom to what it used to be. But ahhhh I love them so much and I can't believe I have to wait to read the second one since it hasn't arrived yet.

I hope that someday Citra and Scythes Curie and Faraday will be able to all be together, and Rowan will be able to become friends with Citra again. That would be nice I think.

I thought the final trial might be that they have to kill someone, but I didn't see it coming that it would be Ben. I thought that maybe you would only pass if you refused to kill the person, but I guess not. I think that maybe Rowan had to kill either Tyger or one of his parents. Probably Tyger though, since they had a falling out and that's why he could kill him so easily.

Rowan is definitely a slytherin. He's so cunning when it comes to getting what he wants. He's certainly changed. He speaks differently, and he seems older. It was a smart move for him to threaten Xenocrates with going public about his daughter.

Woah. Good for Rowan. I don't know how he'll get out of this. Maybe say that the Scythe with the flamethrower accidentally burned it down himself? But the firefighter knows that there was a Scythe there who took control of the situation, and if Rowan is the only one left alive then the Scythdom will know that it was him who killed Goddard and his accomplices. Now Rowan and Citra are both on the run from the law.
