I DON'T WANT TO FINISH THIS. I actually love how both of these are (imo) the most flawed characters that Harmon has ever shared with us. I love how observant and quiet Noble is, it's just not at all what I was expecting. The perspective changes between Noble Jane and Gus is literally genius and it gives me What the Wind Knows vibes. I'm so scared to keep reading.

Major Jamie Fraser vibes. Somehow Amy’s least lyrical and most lyrical script at the same time. I love these characters so much! This is such a unique western and along with the Red Dead Redemption vibes I love that the Jane is just as much on the run as Butch is.

Adoring everything about Violet’s storyline. I’m getting lost in Daphne’s and find myself skimming because I don’t care as much about her as Biolet.

As someone who knows Violet’s story and knows how it ends I’m having a hard time caring about the connection between Daphne and Violet.

I feel like this novel is stuck between being a history textbook and a historical fictional adventure and for someone like me who already knows the story it’s coming off a bit boring. Still excited to continue reading though.
