Good start! Starting to feel like a Throne of Glass type of build up with the world building and the inevitable war on the horizon.

Why did it take me this long to discover this!? I’m obsessed with this. World building with a character journey is the best.

This is literally Snow White and the Huntsman for romantasy adults and it is not disappointing me.

What have I gotten myself into?

I'm not against Christian fiction in any way, but I do think this is the first book in the series that is hindered by the lighter tone. Specifically the 1727 timeline, it's a bit unbelievable when the character doesn't experience what really would have happened.

150 in and I’m really enjoying this one! Book 2 will be nearly impossible to beat, but the set up here is pretty good- at least the 1727 storyline.

1927 is starting slow but we’ll get there I suppose.

This is also the first time that it feels as though the main character is two completely different people in her timelines, though maybe that’s because her circumstances are sooooo vastly different.

Is the dialogue the most unhinged thing I've ever read? Yes.
Does the main character make me want to tear my hair out? Yes.
Am i having the absolute time of my life reading this? Uh, YEUH.

Pretty much exactly what I was expecting. I like the quick pace this novel is moving at while also allowing moments to learn and understand the characters.

A novel with a plot that seems to be endlessly spinning its wheels but with characters that are fully realized and fascinating. Hoping these last 200 pages bring it all together!

This book is confusing me! At times I love it and am obsessed, others I’m bored and feel as though the story has gone nowhere for over 100 pages now. Really hoping the second half of this book knock it out of the park.

This book started off so strong. Over 50% in and I’m finding these character immature and the story drawn out without any real gravity yet. I feel more invested in the side characters than the main relationship but I hope that changes soon.

Took me a few pages to engage again, and I forgot that Inez’s decision making can be yikes at time. Excited for the plot to start.

Coziest read so far! Excited to see the action ramp up! It’s been delectably plotted up to this point!

The world keeps growing! I’m so happy that I’m invested in all three storylines, I do miss Elspeth’s voice being our main pov though. I’m hoping she’s on her way back to us 🤞

Oh the angst. I’m really enjoying the inclusion of extra povs and am still rooting for my gal Elspeth and even The Nightmare at this point!

Still waiting for the plot to really get started but I am SAT and ready for this.

Usually I think love stories like this one are rushed and I end up rolling my eyes but this is the first one that has REALLY worked for me. I am just eating up this world. I cannot wait to start the second book the moment I put this one down because it's getting CRAZY.

Ravyn has my whole heart I am so flipping down bad for him.

I’m really enjoying this plot and the world, I’m just now starting to become connected to characters and I’m excited to see where it goes from here!

Ahhhhh yes this is the perfect Throne of Glass rebound book. Spooky vibes, a highwayman I already know I’d die for. Yep, sign me up I’m all in.

The opening is one of the best I've ever read. I could practically hear the circus music and the ring master calling upon the crowd. I am very very excited to see where this one goes.

I feel like Aelin is getting lost in all these switching chapters. I miss her being THE VOICE throughout.
