Better than Ship of Magic - Fitz is definitely a more sympathetic character than pretty much anyone in that whole book.

Not a bad story, but Portier is floundering around and Dante seems to know more about what's going on but doesn't tell anyone because of his silent, taciturn thing - and I really effing hate books that rely on people not talking to other people in order to keep things uncertain.

Thus far the protagonist is repetitive, the fop's an idiot and the mage is cranky. But at least the plot seems to be starting to move forward.

Early days yet, but the style seems to be something I will enjoy.

Interesting but slow-going. It seems to be picking up - hope it keeps the momentum.

Not quite as pulse pounding as I'd hoped for, but I am rather enjoying it.

Putting this aside for now - just can't get into it. I'm not 100% sure if it's cause I'm so tired and distraction this week, or if it's just the book, so I'm not abandoning it completely. I'll come back to it later.

Kinda bored.

This one was recommended to me. Not really sure what to expect. So far I like the little fact-blurbs more than the story, but I'm not very far in yet.

Told all in first person present thus far, and all of a sudden we get a "if only I knew then what I know now" moment? Sloppy.

I liked the using of alternate realities via Quantum Physics, but to blame earthquakes on a reality being spawned made me groan.

If I were the sort to abandon books, I think I might drop this one. It's not terrible, but I find myself not particularly caring about what's going on.
