Honestly sadistic. Unreal. I need to find info on this phenomenon. How is it that so many whackity-schmackity people are all together in one religion and doing these terrible things to children? It's unbelievable.

The author is reading for the audiobook, but...ummm...he shouldn't. The book itself is decent, but his mumbly, breathy reading makes it less interesting for sure. Story is good tho. Not as ghosty as us like but still good!

Okay, the author is bringing it full circle now! I see where this train is headed. It's been a great listen overall! I don't think I would have kept reading though had I been actually reading the print version. It got bogged down too much for me. Definitely good to listen to while you are doing errands and chores around the house though.

Okay it's starting to drag. Definitely time to move it along! It's an interesting book, so I'll keep listening, but be warned that it is slowing down at about the 75% mark.

I saw some comments saying the book is a boring read--too many facts--im doing the audiobook, and honestly it's a good time. Never heard of Dr. Cream before. He is a wacko, that's for sure

How anyone solved any crime ever back in the Victorian era is beyond me!

This book is so damn convoluted. I'll keep going, but it's okay to give this one a hard pass. Feels like a chore even tho the plot is interesting. 😔
