I can't finish this book. It's much too dense and academic for me.

This is a difficult book, for sure.

The first story is Ted Sturgeon's excellent "Killdozer!" I think it's one of his best.

I basically skipped the first story because it wasn't really going anywhere. It is about a future society in which schizophrenia is state-sanctioned, meaning that two separate personalities live in one body. It's reminiscent of the Apple TV series SEVERANCE, in which workers in a corporation have work identities and home identities, neither of which knows anything about the other one's life.

An anthology of classic sf stories by some of the field's best writers. Some stories are creaky with age, but some are quite well-known for aficionados.
