The Internet people lied. I don’t why I was convinced this was first and foremost a mystery plot and it’s actually a romance one. Let’s say the romance is predominant on the mystery, and it could be nice but I find it cringe and childish.

The mystery is finally starting but I’m scared the romance will take over. Internet people told me it was secondary to the story 🥲

I’m a bit indecisive. I like the setting but I can’t stop thinking the tone and the character’s’ behaviours are a bit childish. Also, I was pretty sure the two didn’t know each others but they seem to be very friendly and tactile between the two of them. I don’t want some kind of creepy sexual tension…..

It’s so cliche that it’s becoming hurtful. Yes, the banlieues are not glamorous, full of colour and tourists. People are poor, struggling to survive and it leads, sometimes, to insecure feelings. But to draw such an idea so that your rich grandma can be scared she’d get her purse stolen, this is blatant disrespect. I’m pretty sure it is the same in many big cities around the globe.

again, American trying to be cool by writing stories set in Paris. and trying to translate French when they definitely know nothing to the language
