I think I just crossed over to hate reading this book. The only thing I have in common with the author is our shared love of dogs. Beyond that, I can not ever imagine being this boring. It doesn’t matter what the quality of the writing is, when the content is so meh. It’s like Didion trying to be Didion, but without the drugs or the rock and roll.
