The horror is horror-ing now.

So far it has been a pretty straightforward haunted house story, but I'm also enjoying the European vibe and the family drama!

Really resonating with the second-gen Asian immigrant family experience, but currently questioning it being marketed so heavily as horror... (maybe it's a really slow burn?)

So far, this has been a pretty spot-on portrayal of a dysfunctional family on vacation!

After 2 underwhelming reads, it is refreshing to read a story that is simply gripping and immediately engaging.

I'm struggling... none of these characters read like they are in their early 30s....

I'm glad the supernatural element is kicking in, because I'm not convinced by the romance...

The character dynamic is reminding me In My Dreams I Hold a Knife—and I'm not sure if that's a positive for me...

I’m emotionally hooked!

This has a very old school, sweeping melodrama feel, and the writing is surprisingly emotive.
