Really smooth, ever-flowing writing style; I sense this is the type of story that reads best in long sessions. While most of the invented terminologies help establishing the PNW of the future, some seem a little overdone and unnecessary (why rename microwave as 'infrabake'?).

"Enlightened society is kind of a trouser society."

The story is getting very meta, "I see. If that's true, who is writing these notes and where are they writing them?"

"But not just anyone can be someone who only looks. If the one who is looked at looks back, then the person who was looking becomes the one who is looked at."

Plot is at a standstill, but there are some beautifully written passages:
"The raised right hipbone juts out, describing a smooth curve like that of a bird's breastbone."
"Lines of sweat spilling down from my hairline resembled the stripes on an overripe melon."

'When one's throat becomes dry, it serves no purpose to be shown a picture of oneself drinking."

This is a re-read; I've restarted this book multiple times, let's see if this time I'll make it to the end.
