A time travel historical romance spoofing Gone with the Wind... color me intrigued!

I picked this up because I recently saw the 90s film adaptation with Sharon Stone (great first 40 minutes, then it turned into utter garbage); the book is already surprising me because other than the setting and characters, the plot is completely different (A character just died, but was alive all the way through in the movie).

Not really sure what's going on narratively at the moment, but gonna keep going and see it through (maybe a re-read is needed).

So THIS is where it went with the ending?! hahaha... it's definitely a bold choice.

When do people always forget about security camera in thrillers...

AKA the tale of an ill-fitted jacket... literally been mentioned on every other page...

At this point, I'm actually a little bored; it is building up to 'something', but currently the 3 characters we're following are all mentally unstable, and digging themselves into more and more dire situations via extremely juvenile choices—I don't care for any of them.

I have a hunch what the twist might be—let's see if I'm right...

Probably not the best intent going into a book—but I just want to find out what is this 'twist' that everyone has been hyping about

Such a charming story. At this point I almost want to read slower so it won't end. The audiobook is also really well done, BTW
