I was completely blown away by the introduction I read chapter 1 to discover more about these prison camps. While I did not enjoy White Nights as much as I thought I would, I have to say I feel blown away by Dostoyevsky's prose.

What is the narrator's name?

I have heard a lot about "White Nights". Most of the critique is rather positive... A tale of unrequited love. It's about time I read the works of Dostoyevsky! I purposefully picked this up, as it is considered a genuine introductory work to his vast portfolio. Hopefully, I get the confidence of tackling his thicker books after reading this short story. Or should I stick to his short stories for now? We'll see...
