I've read and enjoyed most of this author's writing. Her BDSM scenes are reasonable and do not reflect the horror of the 50 Shades of Terrible books.

I like this author's Urban Fantasy, but I really like her High Fantasy.

Second time through this book, not one of the better books in the series IMHO. Feels like a place filler and set up for the next book which is better than this one.

This is the second time that I have read this anthology. I read it for the Charlene Harris and Patricia Briggs stories. I've never cared for Jim Butcher, his stories don't catch my interest.

Third time reading this book, one of my favorite in this series.

I have read quite a bit of this author's writing. This book is her first ever sold and one that I have wanted to read for a while. I am glad that my local library had a Kindle edition to borrow.

This book is not nearly as dark as I feared, but is a little darker than previous books. Good action so far with a bit of a slow start. I understand that this is the last book in this series so it will be interesting to see if the author continues writing books in this world. I just hope the future books are not LitRPG.

I've had this book for a while, but have been reluctant to start it. The last Celestine book was so dark; I fear this one may be as well. I also did not like the LitRPG aspect of the other book and much prefer this series non-LitRPG format.

It has been a long time since I read good high fantasy. So far this book has been a little slow, but starts with a rousing fight good for grabbing the reader.

I've read the other books in this series and liked them well enough to get the rest.

I had a hard time getting into this book. The beginning was rather slow.

So the ending of the previous book was a bit of a downer, and this book starts right up at that point. The author does go into a humorous scene though that does a good job breaking the sadness of the previous scene. As I read these books, I see the author improving - his pacing is getting better and his scenes are well done. What hooked me was the MC who is very different than most MCs in this genre.
