a. this is now my favourite book in this series. or out of the english translation. i'll never know if volume 9 or 10 is my favourite. what a sad time.

b. hiyori, minami and yui's friendship is so beautiful, i'm jealous :(

a. i relate to komi so much. minus the beauty and popularity. tomohito oda represents social anxiety so well in such a beautiful way.

a. lucky star and it's okay to not be okay are the only things keeping me sane during lockdown. episode 10 and i'm addicted to munyeong and gangtae.

b. this volume was a disappointment for me. i didn't understand a lot of the topics and i'm annoyed that the last section was a compilation of lucky star mcs advertising other things.

c. every now and again i admire your passion. i don't respect it, but i admire it.

a. i hate him. how dare he. i guessed lucy gray was playing a game but how bloody dare he. you do not mess with people through love. you don't do that.

b. honestly, all the action happened in the last 80 pages and i don't really remember much of it. it felt rushed.

c. i want to know what actually happened to lucy gray. was she shot? did she run away? what?

d. i love you deeply, but i love officers' academy more.

a. the more i read, the more i dislike snow. he seems to only like the idea of lucy gray and wants to turn her into someone he can publicly be with. if he loved her he wouldn't be killing the jabberjays or be insulting the covey being bird-like. realistically, these two would never work.

a. snow calling lucy gray "my girl" is starting to get a bit repetitive. at first i thought "aw, cute first love" but now it's just "we know. but cute." i feel the repetition is showing his naivety and that eventually she will not be his. i hope not. they're still sweet together.

b. a strange sensation at his neck called for his attention, and he found shamas sampling his collar. "oh, hello. can i help you, madam?"

a. picking this up again after a few months and i can genuinely say i still love it. the relationship between snow and lucy gray is just.. beautiful.

b. oh my god, "where a dead man calls out, for his love to flee". i get it now. why was that a really sad moment for me?

c. this is a surprisingly warm welcome for the person who nearly destroyed you!

a. turns out i just have bad memory and have already read this volume and 5. huh.

b. the fight scenes were so difficult to follow that i just read the dialogue and moved on.

c. i feel like i'll be selling these volumes. they're just not for me, honestly. i prefer my nice shojo stuff with the odd drama.

d. he's gone way past letch and into downright gross territory.

a. my disappointment is immeasurable, the adaptation was so much better. this was just.. boring and nothing was all that funny and it felt rushed.

b. i loved part 1, part 2 was a lot of information overload and part 3 just made me really uncomfortable. i won't be re-reading this one.

a. i'm getting small amounts of vin/kelsier vibes from rin/jiang and i don't know how to feel about it.

b. well, part 1 was certainly interesting. i don't really like how in chapter nine kuang seemed to just skip several months/years in a matter of paragraphs, though.

a. hi, nezha, was it? yeah, hi, sweetie. i know the air must be getting thin up there considering how high up that horse must be, so be a lamb and just drop off it into a pit of spikes whenever you get the time. thanks.

b. don't get me wrong, the writing and story is amazing so far but i just feel so.. disconnected? maybe i'm just not in the right frame of mind.

c. doug & huey and allhoff & carreras were probably the worst stories in the volume, in my opinion. the art is beautiful but i don't see any connection there at all. allhoff and carreras almost seem like a discount hikaru & kaoru, even stealing the "which one is __ game!"

a. ron is being a first-class ass, but i can see why he might act out. he's used to the suffocating comfort of the burrow/hogwarts, not a damp field in the middle of england.

b. i don't know why but in the flashback thing, seeing james die for his son really hit me hard. he didn't do much, but it was still so powerful yet everyone always praises lily for saving harry, never james. james potter appreciation, people.

a. i'm all for this ron/hermione thing because it's actually kinda cute but since having almost no "moments" at all in the last 6 books, all of a sudden there's moment after moment after moment? it's a bit much.

b. i would love a meal prepared by molly, she seems an amazing cook

a. i haven't read any of the other books but i immediately guessed who luciana really was. i don't know whether to be proud or disappointed.

b. i don't know how to feel about the writing style. none of it is especially funny. it's just mind-bogglingly unique.

c. i really liked hector. he was kind all of the way through and the way he helped three kids he barely knew? god bless this man.

b. have i read the first 6 books before this? pffft. no. that would be expected and the logical thing to do, so why would i do that?

a. i started this ages ago and even after finishing up to the fifth volume i just couldn't get myself to finish this one for some reason.

b. kurama and ami? i dunno. some moments are sweet, but i don't see the connection.

a. i know this is the descent into complete darkness but too much happened too quickly. i mean, i get that that was the point but it was a bit much.

a. maybe it's because i was expecting it but i just really didn't feel anything for any of the deaths and tragedies that happened in this book.

b. this definitely felt like a filler book to me. i would say it should've been the last half of phoenix and first half of hallows but if phoenix was any longer i might have set it alight.

c. overall, enjoyable. starting to get darker now.

I can already see myself liking this book more than the last one.
