I gotta say, I really like Fred as a character. It feels like he has more lines than George so that might be why but he seems so much more compassionate than his brother and his interactions with Hermione show that. Maybe it's just me.

Not gonna lie, I preferred the non-Harry chapters over the Harry chapter. No angsty teenage tantrums in sight. Pure bliss. The first two chapters really built the world up better than Harry just falling asleep against a window, pretending he's in a music video.

Just. Just sigh. In other notes, I can see why Umbridge is an extremely hated character (duh, I've watched the movies) BUT I can see why she is a good character to have. Albeit too pink. Just a little.

Concerned that my edition is 800 pages yet GoodReads says that it's 870.

I still can't get hyped because of the bad reviews, ugh. Not gonna lie though, Hideo is being an ass when be has no right to be.

I remember really liking Warcross, but the bad reviews are kinda sending me into this book with a negative mindset and that really sucks. I wanna build up more hype before reading this otherwise I know I just won't enjoy it.

Well, that was an experience. Technically I read 445 pages because my edition was the square black one (which looks much nicer than that purple monstrosity), but that's really more torture than an achievement.

Still not great but I mean, hey. Why would it try any character development in this last 70 pages?

I'm still a bit iffy about the writing style (too much repetitive scene descriptions that I just glance over now) but this is actually making me like fairytale retellings? How? I have no idea.

I've had this on my shelf for well over a year and never read it because I just really don't like Disney, but you know what? It's actually a decent book. I don't know how I feel about the writing style yet and I felt myself skimming paragraphs because I just couldn't focus on it, which might just be my own fault, but other than that, it's alright.

Am I the only one who thought Percy was maybe 15 or something because I saw clips of the movies and fanart, and he does not look 12. At all.

Don't get me wrong, I still love this book and this series, but some things that are happening are getting a bit.. fantastical, even for a fantasy series.

So, my heart has left the building and taken along with it my will to live because this damn book is slowly killing me from the inside out, I cannot deal with the heartache.
