Wow! That was one heck of a chapter with Rand! Love it and have been wanting a trolloc attack for 3 books now…

In other news my reading is slower as our first baby (a girl!) was born yesterday so who knows how much time I will have going forward.

Halfway done, hard to believe I only have 400 pages of Robert Jordan writing goodness left. *sigh*

Still enjoying this read and hoping for a solid ending in this last 30% here. Characters are growing on me a bit too.

Finished Book Six: The City of Blue Fire. Wow! So many game changing reveals and conversations! I’m as excited as it gets for the final book here and to see how this all wraps up.

End of Book Five: The Gadrobi Hills. I love each new revelation and nugget of lore, especially when they come in waves. I’m like a man wandering thirsty in a desert, savoring the tiniest of drops, wanting more.

It appears Jordan has finally decided in all of the storylines carried over from CoT that it’s enough talking, at last! Haven’t been a fan of Elayne’s arc but this is an improvement so far.

Finished Book Four: Assassins. Not read such a gradual and building setup as this since the Stormlight Archives books. So much intrigue!

It figures… right after I say Mat’s arc is boring and someone needs to get him out of the circus, he has the most interesting two chapters in the last few books. Chapter 10! Wow! Game changer!

Heh… that Lindon is a crafty one…

I’m embarrassed to admit since Mat has long been my favorite character, but his arc in the last two books has been horribly boring. Really since the beginning of CoT I have struggled. Someone save Mat and give him something important to do! This is the only slow thread so far in this book.

Halfway done. Lot of exposition so far that is setting up a juicy series. Love going into a new series with no idea what to expect which happens most with a new author. Bring on the war!

Finished Book Three: The Mission. Now I’m halfway through the book and I am beyond excited to read the second half. Last 6 chapters feel like one massive setup for a thrilling conclusion. Can’t wait!
