The Scots writing was a challenge at first. Once you get a bit into it, it starts flowing. Some chars are more boring than others.

Oh Frank...

This comic is a bit meandering and doesn't go anywhere, but I'm absolutely in love with it. The artwork evokes late medieval Japan incredibly well and the whole slice of life narrative...like balm for the soul.

Somehow this is much better as a physical copy. The pacing changes for the better in part 2. Even the artwork is starting to grow on me.
