Rita, you are missed very much. I am glad to be reading about your vibrant Nova Scotia life. It was different enough to be a time capsule any Canadian can relate to, even if we are younger and grew-up differently or in a city.

My parents loved Rita MacNeil and we sent them to the front row of her concert. They said they were so close, they could see Rita and her players smiling. They joked that the Celtic dancing nearly kicked right into their row, haha. Rita is easy-listening but I respect her talent and legacy of songs as a fellow Canadian. Nova Scotia is a special province to me, after happening to visit the year this was published.

Immediately so good, engaging, and craftily written, it isn't even funny! Go figure, this is penned by a Winnipegger and set in our home city too. How did I miss this authoress and adventure in 1989? Ah yes, I had been doing my best to score excellent grades in grade 11.

This is intriguingly educational about Newfoundland to Canadians and history buffs and awesomely adventurous to anyone with a mystery solver's soul.

These short stories and a little poetry are exceptionally good! Well done, Alberta! Why is this excellent stuff out of sight on the internet? I am glad to have added it to the book database and look forward to reviewing it. If these are amateurs, I like them better than most short story authors and poets. I hope their group members have gone on to publish great things.

Kate Kingsbury always keeps things fresh, new, and interesting at the Pennyfoot hotel. This is even without my favourite character, the esoteric Madeline. I enjoy the vicar's Mom this time and root for her to work on her May pole dancing team during a crime investigation. Gertie has a problem no one wants. Let's see how pregnancy from a cheating new husband is solved in the year 1908.

I enjoy returning to the world of the Pennyfoot Hotel. If these earliest paperbacks in Kate Kingsbury's special series weren't hard to get ahold of, I wouldn't wait to read them two or three years apiece.

It is a rare treat, since these paperbacks are rare, to return to the pretty and colourful Pennyfoot Hotel in 1908.

I interrupted "Anne Of Windy Poplars" and "Four Paws, Five Directions" last week, rocked by the transition of our beloved Siamese, McCartney at home! He is 21 years, 9 months-old. He only showed medical needs for the first time recently his whole adored life. We are unprepared to grieve trebly. Two others went to Heaven at home last year, all natural in a short time! Sensitive comments to this please: not "likes".

I am reading slowly because our dear, precious McCartney suddenly went to Heaven at home beside me, 6 days ago. He is the beautiful, loving Siamese with me in my profile photograph. This is momentous and tough on its own. It is harder to bear that he is our third cat Son or Daughter who crossed over in one year, after my Mom! We honour and love you, our darling McCartney, as much as you love us. Love, all of us.

Besides creating for some stupid reason, another character who is said to dislike but live with cats, I am enjoying these opening pages.

Michael's teaching is good, helpful, encouraging, and clear to understand and to learn to do.

Waiting for sales of additional meridian healing course books for cats especially, I saw this gem in my recent second-hand purchase pile. I knew it was worth reading however old or sparse and it is already to hand. To my surprise, reviews regard Michael Bradford highly. It is not about meridians but I already love these first pages. It is a simple, elemental, and yes, sparse prelude to all that Donna Eden covers.
