Not super compelled by the beginning section, but I'm hoping it will get better now that I'm into the central premise.

This narrator is constantly relatable in all her flaws and neuroses, and this book is enthralling despite not a lot happening.

Had the rare experience of not knowing/recalling anything about this book before starting. Immediately drawn in by the narrator, situation, and setting!

I'm surprised by how little has really happened in the story so far. Still, I like the main character and learning about the existence he's carved out with his dog and one frenemy in the emptied-out world.
