Leckie is so skilled at creating distinctive characters who I'm immediately fond of -- and at telling a gripping story!

I've met the three protagonists now, and I have no doubt I'm in for a fascinating story!

Fun twist on a time loop story!

The history is interesting, but the story is lacking something for me.

This book was a slow start for me, but at some point I got invested and am now eagerly approaching each chapter.

A lot of ominous events building up in the background as the protagonist tries to carry on with her adolescence and studies.

Starts off strong in introducing the characters and situations.

On the slow side, but interesting nonetheless.

Interesting exploration of a childhood friendship/rivalry.

Great combination of historical and horror fiction.

The prologue certainly sets up a lot of intrigue, and then interesting to then jump back all the way to the protagonist's childhood.

This is so good and unsettling, and I love the way it's developing!

I've been really looking forward to this, and it's as tense and intriguing as I expected!

"With the violin, I can sing, speak, be beautiful," Katrina had said. "I'm not worrying about what bathroom is safe, or if the store is empty enough to go shopping. Playing a violin isn't always easy. But it's easier than everything else."

This book is such fun, and with as much in it about food as there is about music, I'm hungry every time I read!

Really enjoying this, including that I have no idea what to expect!

Just another one of those stories where a violin teacher on the lookout for a student willing to sell their soul walks into a donut shop run by a family of aliens... I'm certainly intrigued!

Impressively handled development!

So interesting to see how the character is when she's back with her parents, and I'm anxious about all the shoes that seem poised to drop back in Milwaukee.
