Way to go! And, just curious, but why 73?

But when I surpassed that marked and I saw how far ahead I was then I set it at 73, which is one more book than the most books I've ever read in a year. A few of them were very short and don't really qualify in my eyes, so I have about another half dozen to go before I can look myself in the eye and say I topped my own record.
Well, good work! It's amazing how quickly graphic novels and children's books can make that total grow. I never counted them before this year, so I'll be beating my old record, too.

Thanks! Yes, I think with those short Kindle stories becoming all the rage, my books-read total will probably continue to increase and after awhile I'll stop "counting against them," if you will.

Congrats on completing your challenge. I just finished my challenge of 100 books and I realize what a time commitment that is. I'll admit that I put off reading some of the longer books in my queue so as to be sure and finish the challenge by year end.

After completing "the challenge" I decided it was time to take on a more substantial book, so I'm reading Bleak House now and that is a bit of a challenge in itself.
