Ɗẳɳ 2.☊ Why 52 and not just 50? That's random. I think you're 5150 :P

message 2: by Ɗẳɳ 2.☊ (new)

Ɗẳɳ 2.☊ Never mind that. 52/A book a week, is not random. Brain cells now firing.

That's all right. Every year someone asks me "why 52?". I always start with 52 and if I surpass it well in advance of the end of the year, then I'll up the total.

Easier to do without babies...but then, there are no babies, and some might not be down with that. :)

Tanja I was going for a sleep deprived kind of chant!

Thank you for your enthusiasm! I know it can be in short supply when you're raising young'uns.

Sometimes, with enough sugar, it's almost like the before times. Where sleep was aplenty and personal space was just that.

I need sleep and personal space, otherwise evil bizarro world Jason emerges.

message 10: by Tanja (new)

Tanja Oh I need those things too for the same reasons... I still get them, but in shorter supply.

message 11: by Becky (new)

Becky I feel like 52 was a teeeeensy bit low.

I feel like that was a teensy bit of a low blow!!!

description

Sorry...I just felt like being melodramatically indignant there. Yes, you're right, it is low, but when I set the goal I didn't realize I'd be babysitting for my niece through out the summer, which has skewed read totals.

message 13: by Becky (new)

Becky LOL, well... Board books do help along the progress quite nicely. I'm using them whenever I read a book with the Neff. :D

This is the same tactic I take every year (start with 52, go from there). And I see you blew it out of the water. Nice.

Thanks! Yeah, I didn't bother upping the total this year as I wasn't sure I'd make it...plus a few of those are kids' books I read with my niece, so while I'm proud of keeping up with the reading this year, I'm keeping it in perspective.
