Not my books!

I currently have 8 books listed under my profile on Goodreads, and 3 of them are not mine!

Two of these are poetry and one is erotica.

I would really like these removed. I would hate for anyone to think that I write poetry.

My books are: Bad Blood, Bad Luck, Bad Medicine, and Declared Dead. Bloedfactor is a German translation of Bad Blood.

I have no idea how the other books got there. One of them even Read more of this blog post »

3 stars is an "okay" but not really a recommend. I feel like I've read this book before. It was so predictable I wondered if it was written by AI, but maybe an AI-written book would have better proofreading. Also, I do not like endings written to sel ...more

Fun read, but I was a bit let down by the ending. I know I suspended judgment while reading, but then the fictive dream faded and it made no sense why this happened the way it did (no spoilers I hope).

I really kind of hate the ___ meets "Gone Girl" hype, and most of the books that describes themselves that way (yes, I know it's not the books, it's the publicist) do not bear up to the description or even come close (Gone Girl is one of my all-time ...more

Thich Nhat Hanh
“We often think of peace as the absence of war, that if powerful countries would reduce their weapon arsenals, we could have peace. But if we look deeply into the weapons, we see our own minds- our own prejudices, fears and ignorance. Even if we transport all the bombs to the moon, the roots of war and the roots of bombs are still there, in our hearts and minds, and sooner or later we will make new bombs. To work for peace is to uproot war from ourselves and from the hearts of men and women. To prepare for war, to give millions of men and women the opportunity to practice killing day and night in their hearts, is to plant millions of seeds of violence, anger, frustration, and fear that will be passed on for generations to come. ”
Thich Nhat Hanh, Living Buddha, Living Christ

Lisa Scottoline
“I’ve read that one out of twenty-four people is a sociopath, and if you ask me, the other twenty-three of you should be worried.”
Lisa Scottoline, Every Fifteen Minutes

Madeleine L'Engle
“The discipline of creation, be it to paint, compose, write, is an effort towards wholeness.”
Madeleine L'Engle, Walking on Water: Reflections on Faith and Art

Edgar Allan Poe
“Believe nothing you hear, and only one half that you see.”
Edgar Allan Poe

Albert Einstein
“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom the emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand wrapped in awe, is as good as dead —his eyes are closed. The insight into the mystery of life, coupled though it be with fear, has also given rise to religion. To know what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty, which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their most primitive forms—this knowledge, this feeling is at the center of true religiousness.”
Albert Einstein, Living Philosophies
