Back in 1989, when Anirudh was born in a small hospital in Hyderabad, his parents determined that he would live the life of a nomad. In the years that followed, he was granted the privilege of living in several cities including Bengaluru, Nagpur, Chennai, Muscat, Dubai, Goa and New Delhi. Having finished his schooling in Chennai in 2007, he went on to graduate in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. He currently lives in Mumbai where he works in the Oil and Natural Gas sector for Schlumberger Asia Services Limited.

His trysts with writing began as a child, as he yearned to create stories which would amaze Grandma, who was story-teller-in-chief at home. Later on, he began writing consistently both in school an

The Plague by Albert Camus
"One thing that makes reading different works of an author a pleasure is the repetition of their inherent beliefs in the themes of their works. This was my second reading of Camus after The Stranger. Although The Stranger has an inherent tone of human" Read more of this review »

“In our world, to do what you want to do, you must first do what you have to do.”
Anirudh Arun, The Steadfast Tin Soldier?

“Multitasking is a highly overrated thing if you ask me. Today, we do everything in twos and threes. There is no longer time to stand and gaze, to look and ponder and to let your mind harmlessly wander. Everything goes around at such a breakneck pace. I almost envy my grandparents. Their lives were mostly devoid of Televisions and completely Computer free! I cannot imagine what my life would be today without the internet – forget even the computer – but I’d love to know how it would feel.”
Anirudh Arun, The Steadfast Tin Soldier?

“It's only now that I realize that voicing out your alternative goals isn't really a sound idea. Don't get me wrong here - I'm not saying one mustn't dream for oneself. I'm just saying that one mustn't give it voice, at least until it has been acted upon. If they don't know your dreams, then they can't shoot them down.”
Anirudh Arun, The Steadfast Tin Soldier?

“Love. The reason I dislike that word is that it means too much for me, far more than you can understand."

- Anna Karenina {Anna Karenina}”
Leo Tolstoy, Anna Karenina

“I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying.”
Oscar Wilde, The Happy Prince and Other Stories

“Without music, life would be a mistake.”
Friedrich Nietzsche, Twilight of the Idols

“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”
Marilyn Monroe

“That's the thing about girls. Every time they do something pretty, even if they're not much to look at, or even if they're sort of stupid, you fall in love with them, and then you never know where the hell you are. Girls. Jesus Christ. They can drive you crazy. They really can.”
J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye
