"I'm loving this - the brooding on the moors, the mystery around the Inn, the strength of Mary trying to deal with it all.
"Rebecca" was my first Daphne Du Maurier book and I loved it for similar reasons. Then I read My Cousin Rachel, which was meh, and then Hungry Hill, also meh. So I gave up reading her books. But I loved the BBC version of this book and decided to read it. I'm so glad I gave it a chance." — Jan 07, 2026 08:10AM
