So far, reads or has a "feel" kind of like Hemmingway. Very naturalistic and vivid descriptions of the surroundings, countryside, etc. The Author refers to the leading roles as "The man" and "The boy" which is a little hard to get used to at first. Very naturalistic and vivid descriptions of the surroundings, countryside, etc. The Author refers to the leading roles as "The man" and "The boy" which is a little hard to get used to at first. The combination of the two methods makes the characters seem small and insignificant relative to the landscape they exist in, but in a subtle way. Interesting technique if a bit off-putting at first....more
