Deb and 4 other people liked Caroline's review of Cursed Daughters:
Cursed Daughters by Oyinkan Braithwaite
"Unfortunately, this did not match up to the wit and originality of My sister, the serial killer. It is still an enjoyable read with some interesting ideas, but the story didn’t really go anywhere and the final payoff felt rushed and unsatisfactory. "
Deb and 6 other people liked Susy's review of Cursed Daughters:
Cursed Daughters by Oyinkan Braithwaite
"3 stars
The story was ok but I didn't like any of the characters much and wasn't invested in them so that made the story less engrossing.

Superstition. A believed so-called curse gets in the way of love for generations of women of a family. How did the curse start? What was its damage? Who will be the one to stop it?
Also, running as a secondary plot is a reincarnation theme.

Kathryn Thanks for the friend invite, Debbie! I'm making an effort to NOT add to my TBR very much this year - I don't think it worked too well for Jan - last time I checked I had added over 20!

I love historical fiction. I was just remarking the other day that almost every book on my shelves is historical fiction or involves a different culture that I'm curious about. This is what I love in books, exploration, learning.

No, not this year. I didnt want to obligate myself and feel pressed. I'm reading and writing this year. Last year was only reading.

Rashaan Hey Debbie, I saw you did the reading challenge last year and aced it! Are you going to do it this year?
