B.C. Hollywood is an Irish author specializing in supernatural fiction rooted in authentic Celtic folklore and history. Drawing from Ireland's rich mythological tradition and dark historical legacy, he crafts horror and dark fantasy that spans from 18th-century Hellfire Clubs to contemporary werewolf villages and post-apocalyptic wastelands.

His deep research into Irish folklore, historical records, and cultural authenticity brings genuine Celtic atmosphere to modern supernatural fiction. Whether exploring the shadowy corners of Georgian Ireland or the supernatural threats lurking in today's Irish countryside, Hollywood's work captures the ancient darkness that has always dwelled in Ireland's landscapes and legends.

Shadow Apocalypse End of Year Sale

Shadow Apocalypse (The Darkle Chronicles Book One), my splatterpunk post-apocalyptic novella, is on sale in the US and UK Kindle stores for .99c / .99p until New Year’s Eve. If extreme horror set in a unique Irish post-apocalypse setting sounds of interest, now is the best time to grab a copy.

In the desolate aftermath, survival means confronting your darkest desires.

Hellfire by B.C. Hollywood
"B. C. Hollywood does a fantastic job in writing this supernatural thriller element, it had that redemption element that I was looking for and enjoyed overall. The concept was strongly written and had that noir elements that I was looking for. It had " Read more of this review »

Hellfire by B.C. Hollywood
"An interesting story with a great premise and I can't wait for more. This one was a bit repetitive in parts but I still couldn't put it down."
Dogcatcher by B.C. Hollywood
"A werewolf story that does not fit into a certain trope. You were rooting for Sam from the beginning, as a child who loses his best friend overnight, to an adult with a teenage daughter.

When a mysterious family moves back to town, there are some grue" Read more of this review »

“Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn’t have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s gonna take awhile. It’s normal to take awhile. You’ve just gotta fight your way through.”

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
