She said she found herself waving her head around like a crazy old bat to get a sharper image of her own property. She could no longer endure such an aggravation.
Roger had set aside money for home improvements, but DeeDee always encouraged just living with things till they broke. Not this improvement. She could not rest until those screens were taken out and replaced with double pane windows. After they sealed up the sunroom with glass, she made sure that everyone at church knew DeeDee’s sunroom was heaven on earth. Because she could see her property without having to shake her head back and forth. Utter bliss! That was about when she started to go blind.
