EPIC Reading 8/15/18!

LA folks! This Wednesday I’ll be reading at Stories Books-Cafe on Sunset as part of Not A Cult’s EPIC Reading Series. Jeremy Radin, Nicolette Daskalakis, and Edwin Bodney will also be reading, which is very exciting. Probably even more exciting, though (for me, at least), is that this is the first event where you’ll be able to buy signed copies of my new collection, In Case Of Death!

These do not feel as though they ought to go together at all. The first two are interesting enough, but the third, which takes up most of the book, is all over the place.

I don’t think Mary Oliver was meant to be read in bulk. Her impact is greatest (for me) when it is a chance encounter, similar to those delightful moments in her poems. Reading so many of them together took some of the magic out of it for me.
