The Creek at the Edge of the World

The Creek at the Edge of the World (2024) is available in paperback and Kindle. It’s a handbook for artists, but anyone can benefit from the advice in here. This book is about ignoring the voices around you and following your own instincts. It also explores the problems that come with a wild imagination, problems like overthinking and excessive worrying.

At the same time, this book is also a me

Douglas Adams
“It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.”
Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

Matthew Curry I recently wrote a YA dystopian novel that I hope adults will also enjoy. It's called "Under the Electric Sun." The story takes place in an underground city beneath the ruins of Washington, DC. The city is not a series of dark, dirty tunnels. It's a brilliantly sophisticated world that includes "parks" filled with plastic trees and commercial districts that look like malls. The main character is an android tutor named Tristan, who is designed to look like a raccoon. Tristan and his student, Jake Sheldon, meet a giant silver insect in the park one afternoon. Their lives are changed forever.

The novel is now available on Kindle. The price is $3.75.

I illustrated the book in colored pencil. There aren't a lot of pictures, but there's a handful.
