The Majestic Supernova Man
Hello everybody. I hope you’re staying warm. I want to tell you about my new book. It’s called The Majestic Supernova Man. It’s available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle.
Sam lives with his mom in a dilapidated house in Bottomville, a town crippled by poverty and drug addiction. Sam is only a fifth grader, but he dreams of becoming a doctor when he grows up. When Sam isn’t at school, he feeds his hunger for scientific knowledge by reading old encyclopedias his mom bought for him at a yard sale. His mom, Tanya, works the night shift at a local cotton mill.
Sam’s dad (and Tanya’s ex-husband) is a man named Leon who lives in a nearby trailer park, but he won’t live there much longer. Leon faces eviction because his rent is past due. Frequently intoxicated and often unemployed, Leon spends his life watching sports on TV and eating pain pills when he can find them. He sometimes visits Sam and Tanya to harass them and demand cigarette money.
One day, Sam wins a cash prize in a school science contest. When Leon learns about it, he drives to the house where Sam and Tanya live, determined to get his grimy hands on the money. Sam musters up his courage and refuses to give him the cash. Leon, humiliated and filled with rage, decides to retaliate against Sam in the most evil way he can think of.
However, a mysterious visitor appears in the community, a well-dressed man with otherworldly powers. His name is Jackie. He befriends Sam and Tanya. When Leon tries to rip Sam’s life apart, Jackie intervenes.

The Creek at the Edge of the World
The Creek at the Edge of the World (2024) is available in paperback and Kindle. It’s a handbook for artists, but anyone can benefit from the advice in here. This book is about ignoring the voices around you and following your own instincts. It also explores the problems that come with a wild imagination, problems like overthinking and excessive worrying.
At the same time, this book is also a memoir about growing up during the 1980s and 1990s. It includes stories about playground misadventures, a blizzard, a TV anchorman, a skeleton in a glass box, the Y2K scare, and the long process of learning how to draw. Several of Curry’s ink drawings are featured throughout the book.

Now on Amazon: Robots, Vampires, and Bad Co-Workers
My new Amazon book is called Robots, Vampires, and Bad Co-Workers. It’s a collection of three of my earlier books: Finding Drake Novak, Under the Electric Sun, and How to Make an Artist Miserable. The first two are science fiction comedies. The third is a humorous essay about the annoying little things people say to artists.
