Born and raised inside San Francisco, I graduated from Lowell High School and received my B.A. in History from the University of California at Berkeley. After two years in the Army, I went to graduate school at San Jose State where one of my short stories was published in the college’s literary magazine, THE REED, and I won a bathch of awards in the annual SENATOR PHELAN LITERARY CONTEST.

After teaching English and Creative writing at Los Gatos Union High School, I moved to southern California and began my professional writing career. I sold to the TV series, MR. NOVAK, ghosted YOUR HAIR AND YOUR DIET for health food guru, Dan Dale Alexander, and wrote for and with diverse producers, among them as Harry Joe Brown, Sig Schlager, Albert J. Co

Peer positive reviews are the best. Also, CLOSE TO THE SUN is a finalist in two awards contests: Indie Excellence Awards and New Generation Indie Awards for Military Fiction.

There is confusion at HNS. I mistook Indie for independent publisher when I submitted BODO for a review at HNS. I should have submitted it as mainstream. That is why the review will not appear in the current issue. Indie means pay to publish or pay to have the word edited.

By the way, belated congratulations for you having been published.(less)

To answer your question, I found no evidence of Bodo-Eleazar life in al-Andaluz after 847 AD, except for a mention of him in Sura 876 Ad that I referenced in my author's and Historical Notes section. I would have to write a fictional sequel, so the rest of his life is left to the reader's imagination. If you liked Bodo so well, I am sure you would enjoy my novel of 17th century Spain, ROCAMORA.

Best regards,

Donald
