The Plot of the story starts off as they enter the castle for a tour of Terror Tower. Terror Tower is the place that the debtors and criminals go to either live the rest of their live out in or wait for their execution. The tour guide goes on to say the children of the old King and Queen were taken to the tower to be smothered with pillows after the King and Queen's untimely deaths. At the end of the tour, right as they were about to head back, a man in a black hood and cape locked them in the top of the tower.They noticed a dungeon that led to a jailer room where a old bony man was kept. Little did they know this was Morgred, and ancient sorcerer from the time of the King and Queen's death. They escaped the castle through the sewer and headed to the motel they were supposedly staying. There was one problem though, they can't remember a thing. In their confusion, the man in the black hood and cape caught up to them, captured them, and performed a spell that sends them back in time to the days of the King and Queen. There he threw them in the jailer's room where Morgred explained he had sent them into the future and erased their memories. Eddie and Sue were actually Prince Edward and Princess Susanna. Morgred explained how to perform the time travel spell, but refused to do it again in fear of the consequences for his life. Just as the men were coming to kill the two, Edward performed the spell and transported the three; Sue, Eddie and Morgred to the future. Here they started a new life where they were siblings and Morgred would become their father. Mordred assumed the name Mr. Morgan from then on.

The main characters of the story are Sue and Eddie. After unknowingly getting transported to the future they are confused about their presence, and have question about their family. Eddie is a great sneak and he saved their lives with this trait. Sue is kind of a flat character, for the most part she is scared and doesn't really have many other traits. Morgred is the King's Sorcerer and is loyal to Sue and Eddie. The man in the black hood and cape is the executioner who chased them into the future and tried to take them back into the past to kill them.

The setting of the story takes place in a castle in London, England during today's age and an unknown day during the age of kings. When they are in today's age they visit the motel they believe to be staying at and a taxi they were riding in.

The theme of the story is vulnerability of the meek. The children, after their parents died, had no protection and were being pursued because of it. Another theme is will to survive. Because of the pursuit, Edward was forced to think quick in order to get away.

I would recommend this book to people who like a good scare and children between the ages of 6-12. ...more "
