Have You Read?
Actually, I love to watch mysteries, but rarely read mystery novels. Not sure why. So, I haven't read this book, but would definitely watch it on PBS or BBC America.

HNR that one but have read Away With The Fairies in the same series.Have you read Ragtime in Simla by Barbara Cleverly?
I loved the first few books in this series where Joe Sandilands was a British officer posted in India in the 20's. Then he moved to London and started mysteries there and I got bored with him. There are too many great British detective stories of this time period already.
HNR, but it looks wonderful! Thanks!
HYR (or seen) The Crow Trap* (Vera Stanhope, Book 1) by Ann Cleeves
?
*Another BBC mystery series based on a series of books. The BBC series is called "Vera" and is available on Netflix.

HYR Slayers* (Slayers, Book 1) by C.J. Hill (Janette Rallison)
?*Great young adult urban fantasy about dragons.
Slayers is not the last season of 'Buffy' going after dragons instead of big bad vampires?I liked, or rather present tense like 'Buffy,' because I still read the graphic novels.
HNR.
HYR All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely
?
Julia wrote: "Slayers is not the last season of 'Buffy' going after dragons instead of big bad vampires? ..."
No, it is a new young adult urban fantasy series and has nothing to do with any television series. The teens in the story are descended from medieval dragon slaying knights and their slayer gene is activated when hibernating dragon eggs start to mature. That is a simplistic explanation of the first book -- I found it enjoyable and plan to continue with the series.

Nope, I haven't read anything by Rick Riordan. But somebody wrote this in her/ his review: "Trust me on this. Riordan and Disappointment can never be in the same sentence." (If she'd used a colon or semi-colon I'd trust her more instead of a period between 'this' and 'Riordan.')HYR Forever, or a Long, Long Time by Caela Carter
? Not funny, but really, really good.

Grammar aside, I completely agree with her observation. I have read everything Rick Riordan has written and always drop my current book whenever Riordan has a new book available.
