would anyone be interested in a buddy reading of The Monk and The Demon of Sicily: A Romance in march? also, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is march's read for the classic horror challenge.
Scott wrote: "Does The Monk and The Demon of Sicily go together? I was able to find The Monk."omfg let me see if i can find a copy of THe Demon of Sicily. Id love to read that. I just read the Monk a few months ago, i may have to pop in your buddy read of it and talk about it with you guys!
Latasha wrote: "No Scott, not at all. Just similar. Was it good Rachel?"It's something else, lmao. I did like it, I gave it four stars. Some parts dragged but when stuff happened it was insane.
Latasha wrote: "Holly, I've read it before but I'd reread it but I can't start til sometime next month."I wasn't planning on starting it until next month, so that works for me.
I think I'd like to give The Monk and The Demon of Sicily a shot. I'm starting Mr Splitfoot tomorrow, so when I'm finished that I can start either one of the other two next.

i know there's a few of us reading city of mirrors but any others out there?
I'm going to re-read "Once Bitten, Twice Die" by Antony Stanton
Once Bitten, Twice Die
Would love to have this as a buddy read. Am thinking about starting sometime in the next week or so, so let me know if interested...
JJ
I'll be reading the new Glen Rolfe book, Becoming, in the next week or so. If anyone cares to join me, I'll start a thread.
May's buddy read broadcast will go out soon. If you have ones you'd like to read suggest them before the 1st. We'll have our usual Stephen King one, the black house, which we'll begin on the 13th but so far that's the only one.
I had been thinking about suggesting one of the haunted house nominees that didn't win the group read poll, but then the excellent sponsored group read came up, so I'm all in on that! :-)

I’m game, Latasha. I believe it appears in Twice-Told Tales . I think I have a copy somewhere.
Just say “when”.

I always forget the lol and no-one can see my big smile online so people can't tell I'm trying to be funny. They just think I am rude, but really I am not!
It's ok Anne with an E. I'm weird too. Do you want to read this with us? You know you want to. *nudge, nudge* it's Nathaniel Hawthorne!!
I am "committed" to reading a bunch of things already but since it's YOU asking and it is a short story, sure. When do we start?(Love the new profile pic!)
Tuesday. Thanks. It was at a horror convention. There was an artist there doing face paintings. I told him I wanted something scary and bloody lol.
I'm going to try to listen to The Kitchen House probably next week if anyone wants to join me. I say try because I don't know if I can tolerate or handle the racism I'm sure is going to be in that book. it's not really horror but I thought I'd ask anyways.
