Here they are at the old fort Castillo San Felipe del Morro built in 1539. Elliot was fascinated by the history of these forts being active military bases for 400 years. They sent Josh a post car..."
Cool photos, Loretta! Thanks for taking us with you on your vacation (a little bit). :-)
I am envious of how much of the world my books are seeing without me! I hope my books are taking notes...

Well, they are writing about it here, aren't they? ;)

"Meowy Christmas" to me, indeed. :-)

I just couldn't wait until Christmas to open them. ;-)

I love getting pretty new books! I so rarely buy print books, but these are a wonderful addition to my small collection.

Wow. Cool pictures, Valerie! Thank you for sharing them. :-)
I love the photo of your back-and-white cat sitting in that box. :-D She has a wonderful face — and those white whiskers! LOVELY! And she looks like she won't move anytime soon... :-)

What I've seen on FB it looks like Weeble loves camera — and vice versa. :-) I'm definitely looking forward to those photos!

She hasn't been nicknamed 'Diva Bird' by Matthew D for nothing!

It was indeed a perfect day! In the background is Mount Sefton, covered in ice, in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, which is kind of in the middle of NZ's South Island.

This book is quite well-travelled! These lovely palm trees are in my brother's back yard, on the Gold Coast in Australia. Perhaps over the White Mountains there are lovely beaches and swaying palms? ;) I made a big order from Blind Eye back in December, and since I knew my mum was coming to visit, I had them sent to her house in the States to avoid the international shipping costs. My mum makes a great courier and so they went to Utah, then Australia, and now are sitting in a stack on my dresser in New Zealand. :)
And here's a cute seal for you all. Just because. ;)

Awww, just perfect :) And hehe the seal was totally necessary.

And a bonus seal :-)

Lovely! Love that little seal! :-)
Wonderful photos, Alison! The adventures of Strange Fortune made me smile. :-) And I love how the cute seal is looking at you from up-side-down perspective. :-D Thank you, dear.

I imagin you sitting on a beach with palm trees reading Strange Fortune. :) What a perfect day that would be. :)
Thank you for sharing the photos!
Thank you for sharing your lovely photos. A perfect day indeed!
My marine biologist daughter is a longtime seal nut. When she was still at university, we visited her in Tacoma during her birthday week. Her first-choice activity on her special day was seal watching. She recorded counts for her volunteer work with Washington Fish and Wildlife. : )

I love that Anne is sharing her adventures with us. I don't think I can travel to Japan. With these photos (and I have seen many photos from Japan) I have a little bit the feeling to be there too. Thank you Anne! I am hoping for more :-) !

And there is Finland and Norway and I love England, Scotland and Italy. And than is there the USA and than comes Japan :-).
