What shoes? I don't think I put on shoes until I was 20, except when I had to. Even now as soon as I get home I take them off.

Sometimes I feel that way, too Gabrielle. I remember how enthralled I was as I went from book to book. *sigh*

Where am I in the series? Back at the start.
After I raced through all the audio titles when I first discovered them and I had months to wait for the next one to be released (how many years ago is that now?) I started the practice (too new to be a "tradition") of going back and starting over, each time I finish the latest book. So, after "Delusions in Death", I went back to the beginning.
Unfortunately, life got in the way of this plan. Suddenly I’m still only on book 3 of the series, and there is yet another title on pre-order. At this rate who knows when I'll be "up-to-date" with the current title.
At least it is a fun way to end my days; my cat likes them too. As soon as she hears Susan Ericksen's voice, she comes running, plops on the bed and leans against me, expecting some serious attention.
It's a grand way to fall asleep. Oh, that everyone was fortunate enough to say … “My problem is I have a whole shelf of books I get to listen to.” “>
thanks.r.

Oh my gosh, Dawn, you just made me laugh, right out loud!
I LOVE that TikTac comes arunnin' when I turn on the cd. Sometimes, one CD will end and I still want to go on listening but TikTac doesn't want to let me move to change the CD. She can get downright huffy and THAT makes me laugh too. Fortunately, the CD's are each over an hour, so it gives her time to have her tiff and still come back.
My new cat, CoCo, is also getting the hint; the last few nights, when I turned on the CD, I had TikTac flopping on/against me and CoCo running OVER me to get to the window above my head and there they both plopped, happy as can be.
Maybe I can get TikTac and CoCo to send your dog a letter with insights into what they’re missing. (Arrr, Arrr)
Thanks.r.

N, you made me laugh!
I haven't been paying attention to this string; I just started to read through it and your post made me laugh; truth is usually the best humor ''>

Whoo...this is a really good one...I know I say that for many but be prepared to get emotional:)

Mo, don't believe that!!! All that have finished the series would recommend you read them in order. Of course you can read them out of order but you'll regret it in the long run.

Donna, it only gets better!
Donna, it only gets better!

That's what I thought - I never read a series out of order....

NO! Read this series in order! (Read any series in order). There is alot of character development and character relationships that happens during the course of the series and the best way to experience that is to read in order.
I agree, Julia, character development that happens over the course of these books is best experienced in order. There are some series out there where each book features a different person's story (maybe a brother, sister, friend's story, etc.) and it isn't as crucial that they be read in order. The In Death series is not like that.

5. Treachery in Death
4. Innocent In Death
3. Divided In Death
2. Conspiracy In Death
1. Naked In Death
I am currently reading Loyality In Death.
Remember to use the spoiler feature! It might be better to post details about the story in the book's topic page. See the link below:

No problem! I love your enthusiasm and I know it's not always clear where to go to have the discussions. If I include a link for you to use, don't feel like you've made a mistake...my role to help you!

Thanks! :)
I'm seriously thinking about reading the series over again. Is anyone else reading or rereading the first book,
?

Oh, me too, Dee. I have to switch around especially with a series with so many books in it. I like so many different romance genres that I find I like to switch it up...read a few of one then another. Keeps my mind fresh plus gives me a chance to enjoy some of the awesome new authors that I have discovered.
