Wow! You listened to them all in that short period of time? That's impressive.

message 52: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments Yes, I kind of lost my mind. I work at a desk and listen there as well as when I am driving and I can read a book in a few days when in obsession mode

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
Lol! We here don't consider it an obsession:)

Dawn | 3250 comments Which is why I am very glad to have found this site and the group :)

Helen Peter | 15 comments Finished "Celebrity in Death". Waiting for "Delusion in Death" to reach Malaysia.

message 56: by [deleted user] (new)

I just got my copy of Delusion in Death, still reading some other materials but should be starting it this week. Sooo excited because my last JD fix seems so long ago.

message 57: by Helen (new)

Helen Peter | 15 comments Lucky you. Just been to the bookstore, Celebrity in Death is still on the shelves, no sign of Delusion at all. Hope it does not take too long to reach here. The last time I waited for almost six months for New York to Dallas to arrive in Malaysia.

message 58: by Sara ♥ (new)

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments THAT is the prime reason my mom got a Kindle! She's been living in Korea for the past 5 YEARS, and she got sick of waiting for books to get to her! So now she gets books WAY before me (as I do the library 95% of the time).

message 59: by Helen (new)

Helen Peter | 15 comments Agreed, and I got a kindle as a Christmas gift last year and have been downloading books left and right. I have downloaded books I have only been hearing about but not able to purchase here such as books from Maya Banks, Shayla Black, Lorelei James and many others. But I have purchased and collected almost the whole series (except for novellas) of the in Death series and would like to continue to do so if possible. Moreover, the price for the e-book is the same as the paperback copy when it gets here, so a little too costly for me to buy both.

message 60: by Ren Puspita (new)

Ren Puspita (renpuspita) Delusion in Death paperback is published April 2013, so yeah I will wait it in Indonesia here. Not too rushed anyway. I have Celebrity in Death on my shelves and also Time of Death :)

message 61: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments I have all of them on my kindle, no big difference and very convenient.

message 62: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 1070 comments I'm just waiting for Calculated in Death to come out. I have read the series several times and just looking forward to her latest books.

Yep! When I was finishing Betrayal in Death, I thought about stoping and taking a breather from the series, but it was stronger than me. ^^

I must confess...I did the same thing and ran through the entire series (at the time, the last book was Fantasy in Death) so your experience is bringing back memories:)

Great to hear that I'm not alone in my In Death bubble. ;)

You will love it in the end.

message 70: by Sara ♥ (new)

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments Don't be scared! I loved it! I didn't think it was as ... well, I don't agree with the majority. I loved it.

Nina (msralways) | 53 comments I'm starting Reunion in Death (In Death, #14) by J.D. Robb

message 72: by Vera (new)

Vera M. | 446 comments I didn't dislike it.. Wasn't one of my favorites. Christine is right it is one that sticks with you. Whether you like it or dislike it!

message 73: by Wendi (new)

Wendi | 12 comments I am anxiously awaiting the new book CALCULATED IN DEATH

message 74: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 1070 comments I have gone through the series so many times in the last 10 or so years and once I start I can't stop. It is rediculous how caught up I get in the series. I have to force myself to stop. I HAVE OTHER RESPONSIBLITIES and I get so caught up in Eve and Roarkes life....

I was never one to watch soap operas but this is my soap...I can't wait until Calculated in Death comes out.

message 75: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
I like that comparison (this is my soap)!

message 76: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments I agree with Vera, I'm not certain there is a book in the series I dislike, but there are ones I like less than others. Most interesting to me...the books where I like the main plot the least are the ones I like the subplots the most :)

I watched All My Children from about age 5 and was devastated when they took it off the air...I agree, this series has become my Soap, and I can see myself being more devastated if she stops writing them.

message 77: by Vera (new)

Vera M. | 446 comments Oh yeah dawn I think I notice that too! The ones I dislike the main plot I get sucked into the subplot lol, but most of the subplots I think I have liked.

I watched general hospital when I was younger. Not so much into the soaps anymore, not enough time with my reading addiction and things I have to do!!

message 78: by Vera (new)

Vera M. | 446 comments My second read through. On Creation in Death (In Death, #25) by J.D. Robb . Almost caught back up! Too much to read in between my In Death pickups, but I glance over at them longingly when I am in another book!! haha

message 79: by Emma (new)

Emma (emma6991) | 8 comments Hey, i just finished innocent in death and I looooooved it. but i want the next book right away. i want more of eve Dallas, ROARKE, and the other characters. but amazon says the next book is Eternity in Death. but i have to wait a while before i can read, it. but the on after that, Creation in Death is available to me. do you think it would mess me up if i skip eternity in death and come back to it when it's available or i'm done? because i really want to keep reading, and i don't want to wait. plus i hear Creation in Death is Awesome.

message 80: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments Eternity is one of the novellas. Creation is the next full book in the series. There is a website run by Nora that has a complete list with dates. www.jdrobb.com. She has a quick reference guide and another link with short descriptions of each book.

We maintain the book list here in this group. Here's the link.

http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

Eternity in Death is indeed the next book. Personally, it was one of my least favorite of the novellas. And, I don't recall anything happening in that story that would pose a problem for you if you skipped it for the moment.

message 82: by Sara ♥ (new)

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments I say skip it and come back... it's just a novella. What do you guys think? Reading the Wiki In Death page on Eternity, though, and it's got some funny quotes to look forward to! I love Eve and Roarke's banter... :D

Does your library not have a copy? Ritual was originally published in Dead of Night, fyi.

message 83: by Ren Puspita (new)

Ren Puspita (renpuspita) Oh yes, Eternity in Death, Eve the Vampire Slayer, lol!
I read it from Time of Death (In Death, #24.5, #27.5 & #29.5) by J.D. Robb

message 84: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments Jonetta, that is too funny. I actually left this site to confirm the other web address before I posted. I still have not found everything in here. Lol.

message 85: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
Thanks, Ren. The first six novellas are now in omnibus editions and they are noted on the book list. It's a lot cheaper to buy Time of Death and get three novellas versus three separate anthologies.

For everyone just starting the series, check out the book list for the omnibus editions for the novellas. They didn't have them when I first read the series.

That's okay, Dawn. Our goal is to provide everything you'll need to read the books in the series here in the group or on Goodreads. We're pretty diligent about keeping the book list accurate and current.

It may be worthwhile to provide book descriptions in some format. Let me see the best way to do that.

message 87: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments Yes, I didn't realize they were novellas and ended up buying them through Amazon for full price I think. Then I messed up and bought Remember When separately. Better this way

message 88: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments Well, I think every subject imaginable is pretty much covered here. ;)

The Book List now has links to connect with the books on Goodreads where you can get the descriptions and more. The links are set up in another comment box.

Use the link below to access the list.

message 91: by Sara ♥ (new)

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments I try to use the library as much as possible, so I guess it doesn't really matter if I get 3-in-1 or 3 separate books. But yeah, I forget about the omnibuses!

yes it does. but i have it holding and i'm like 2nd or 3rd on the wating list. so....... i might jsst skip it

Silver | 37 comments I just finished my 4th time through the series as I wait for the new book to be released this month. I do audiobooks instead of actual books though I love it that I don't have to put the "books" down as my ipod can go with me anywhere. Those that are looking for books at a reasonable price check out www.ioffer.com I got the complete audiobook series on there for a great price.
