Back to the “cloth covered button”.
Taking a break from all the other books I have going, Monday I began to re-listen to the series, starting with “Naked In Death”.
I don’t know which chapter, but on the third disc, right after Roarke has kissed Eve for the first time, she has gotten a dispatch to attend to the 2nd murder and she leaves … Roark pulls out the “cloth covered button”.
.
Months later ... :) ... wanted to clarify.
thanks.r.

I liked this one as it was based somewhat on the movie, Strangers on a Train, which is a classic.

That's the conundrum... Do you continue to devour the books and then play the waiting game? Or, do you take your time, even though you're dying to get to the next book?
I only faced this dilemma after I'd re-read the series 3 times:)

Sara, just yesterday I finished Treachery in death and I have to admit you were absolutely right! Possesssion in death was pretty good, I liked it but it wasn't anything extrordinary... Treachery in death, on the other hand, was incredible! One of my favorite In Death books!
Now I'm about to start New York to Dallas, is it as good as Treachery or....

Sara, just yesterday I finished Treacher..."
Treachery was great but New York to Dallas is fantastic. You will love it!

Can't wait to start reading it!

It's really good. I liked Treachery better, personally. NY2D is good in a different way. It's MUCH darker...

Wendi, have fun with your re-read!
Gina, I didn't realize this was a re-read for you, too.
Are you both discovering things you may have missed the first time?

Also, it looks like you're fairly new on goodreads! Welcome! I've been around since 2007, and I love it! A couple tips that might help you out a bit:
You can "edit" your own comments (if you accidentally post something before you mean to, spot a glaring spelling error, etc.)... At the bottom right of your post, it says "reply | edit | delete | flag *" and you just click edit (or delete if you want to go that route).
You can also use some basic html to actually mark spoilers. At the top right of the box you type in to comment, there's a link called "(some html is ok)" which will show you all the different options. For spoilers, you type:
< spoiler>type all sorts of spoilery goodness here< /spoiler>Except delete the spaces before spoiler and /spoiler.
It'll look like this: (view spoiler) I don't remember which book that was in, but whatever!
You can do the same thing to < b>bold< /b>, < i>italicize< /i>, < u>underline< /u>, etc.
Thank you so much, Sara for help with tips we take for granted.
Wendi & Sara, it's the reason I asked the question. The first time I read the series, I went so fast I knew that there were probably details I'd missed and found that to be true on the second read. What surprised me even more was I continued to find stuff I missed in the third read!!!

For me I can remember who did it, but can't remember which book had what in the personal column.
Now, Dee, that's the part I get and it can sometimes be embarrassing the minutiae I can recall. But, I can't remember where I last left my shoes.
Same here! I remember scenes and whodunit and why but names and book titles, nada.

I always try to find a relationship with the title and what happened in the story to help with recall. There are some, though, that I always get mixed up.
