From my rather hopeless memory I think they feature all the way now.

Neville | 84 comments Finished Hostage Hostage (Fredrika Bergman and Alex Recht, #4) by Kristina Ohlsson by Ohlsson, Kristina

This is about a hijacking of a plane. Swedish and USA law enforcement agencies as well as secret service.

It hooked me so much that I was almost reading too fast and not taking it all in.

Gave it 5 stars.

MaryG2E (goodreadscommaryg2e) I finished the psychological thriller Already Dead by Jaye Ford recently. It has taken several days for me to compose my thoughts to write this review, which is less than 100% favourable. It was a 3.5★ read for me. My comments: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Neville | 84 comments Finished the first of the "Lewis" trilogy The Blackhouse The Blackhouse (Lewis Trilogy, #1) by Peter May by Peter May

First person chapters when the main character Fin MacLeod was a boy and third person when he was an adult. He is a policeman called to his home town to find a murderer.

Lewis is an island off the coast of Scotland (I think) where it all takes place and where Fin was brought up and his first language was Gaelic.

Rated it 4 stars.

Didn't want to put it down until finished.

Interesting ending - won't say any more than that.

I gave it 5 stars.

MaryG2E (goodreadscommaryg2e) I've just finished another wonderfully scary offering from the pen of Jaye Ford, who's rapidly becoming one of my favourite Aussie authors. Blood Secret. 5★s

I imagine it'd be pretty fresh all over again... the basics are still in the memory, but the actual detail of the cases isn't :)

message 2433: by Phrynne, Mystery lover! (new)

Phrynne | 5445 comments Mod
Absolutely. I can't remember who the murderer was which is the main thing.

Neville | 84 comments Finished the 2nd in the "Will Trent" Series Fractured Fractured (Will Trent, #2) by Karin Slaughter by Karin Slaughter

Really enjoyed it.

Must be getting soft in my old age as I am giving 5 stars lately (hardly ever rated a book as 5 stars - probably been too critical previously).

Kerri_M | 785 comments Just finished The Body on the Doorstep (Romney Marsh Mystery, #1) by A.J. MacKenzie

I picked it up to read because it is set in the Romney marsh area in Kent, which I have always had an interest in since reading books as a kid.

An historical cosy and first in a series - would give it 3.5 stars

PattyMacDotComma | 816 comments Not as crazy about this as some. The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena doesn't involve the couple next door as much as I'd expected.

Young family, new baby left at home with baby monitor while parents party next door. What happened and how? 3.5★ from me.
