Anyway, I'm actually reading Illusion, by Frank Peretti. Has anyone else read it?

I'll let you know once I'm done, Tracy (and everyone else that's interested.) Though right now, my feelings are mixed..

Hi, Jason!
I'm not done with Illusion yet, and quite frankly, I'm not all that impressed. I'll definitely be reviewing this one, though (as I've gotten into the habit of reviewing all the books I read.) As for how it compares to Peretti's earlier work I couldn't tell you because I haven't read any of them. Although my wife was absolutely blown away by Piercing the Darkness.
Thank you for asking.:)

And it is DONE!!!

I'm glad you're enjoying it, Tracy!

Currently reading two different kinds of religious thrillers- Babylon Rising Babylon Rising: The Edge of Darkness the Edge of Darkness andSanctus, along with a wicked awesome psych/spiritual thriller, The Forsaken. Interesting times ahead of me.

Sounds like great fun, Jason!

I've heard great things, J.S. And coming from Dekker, it's bound to be great, IMO!

Not only that, J.S., but Koontz's earlier material is much better than his current stuff, IMO..

That too! Though I did love What the Night Knows, even though it got a lot of bad reviews.

I haven't read anything new by him since Frankenstein #3..

Shirley Jackson's such an amazing writer, IMO. It sounds like you're enjoying it.:)"
I sure am! I read "The Lottery" back in grade school and then last year I read her novel The Haunting of Hill House. Loved them both!
Btw, are you the Dustin who "liked" my FB page the other day? If so, I just wanted to say Welcome!

Yes, as a matter of fact, I did 'Like' your Facebook page. Thank you for welcoming me, J.S!:) Please feel free to add me as a friend.
Ohh, The Lottery is amazing, IMO, and I think I've read The Haunting of Hill House. I love them, as well.

I listened to this on audiobook and it is definitely different.

It's kind of icky, if you ask me. And a little hard to follow. Straub's novel Ghost Story trumps this one by far.

There was one scene where (view spoiler) and now I can't get the nasty out of my head.

That's what I thought! lol I'm about halfway through the book now. When I'm finished I'm going to start reading Life Expectancy by Dean Koontz. (The other Dustin told me that he would read my book only if I read Life Expectancy, so of course I had to comply!)

I've yet to read Life Expectancy, and I don't know if I ever will. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, though, once you're done.
Oh, I've been meaning to add your book to my "to-read" list.

Meh. I'm not liking Mr. X much at all.

I'm sorry to hear that..:(

Life Expectancy is a hoot J.S. It is one of my favorite Koontz books. I also love Relentless, I read them both at least once a year.
