I knew it, the ending of "First grave on the right" was too good and too catchy not to read part 2 straight afterwards, so my carefully laid marathon plans have already been shaken up. ;-) But I don't mind. I often feel like finishing one book leads to another, often in a less obvious way than reading part 2 of a series. I often feel like staying in the genre of the book I just read or the country or feel drawn to my next book because the one I just finished guided me there.
@Nadine - book 3 in the Darynda Jones series is my favorite so far...so you might want to make sure you have it ;)

The Iliad
7/23 - 12 pages read
7/25 - 79 " "

at the end of Day 1, I have listened to an hour of my audiobook (which is approx 35 pages - give or take) and I have read 229 pages from 5 different books, including finished 1 of them
thaks Tracy...I don't know if i'll get much more done today - i have Sugarland concert tickets for tonight...but I might take my kindle and read while i'm there before they come on...I did that before the rascal flatts concert and it was nice and relaxing

Oh I sooo will download it as soon as I am finished with this one. Really the best is yet to come? I have to admit I have quite a book crush on Reyes ;-). Is there a lot to look forward to in book 3? ;-)
@ Nadine - i think i was one of the few who didn't love the first book in the series, so i gave the second one a chance and it got better...then the third one was even better...so my enjoyment has increased over all the books so far

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks - finished the last 158p.

I love this book! I seldom cry when reading a book, but this book really had me crying at the end when I was reading Lane's letters. It is a beautifully written book about real human characters. I love the way the relationship evolves between Lane's mother and Maddie. I, too, want to read everything Kristina writes.

LOL! Nahh, it's just that I finished one book at midnight, and then I wasn't sleepy (summer has completely messed up my sleeping schedule). So I continued reading Firelight and it was so good that I wasn't even tired at 4. So I turned on the TV and watched it for an hour. And apparently I fell asleep while I was flipping channels lol :)

Let me know how you like Madame Tussaud! Someone told me it was really good, and, as I'm a French Rev. history junkie, I really want to read it :)

I am currently about half way through it. But it has taken me awhile I keep picking it up then get distracted by another book. I am enjoying it though, although I know little to nothing about the French revolution so that may be why I am not flying through the book. If that's a time period you are into I'm sure you'd love this book (based on the first half anyways lol).
