@Harlee I LOVE my Kindle Paperwhite!!!! It has a touch screen and the screen is backlit! I got the Paperwhite because I wanted purely an e-reader, not a tablet. My daughter has a Kindle Fire HD and she plays more games & watches more Netflix than she reads lol but she loves her Kindle Fire :)

I originally had a kindle fire when it came out and I loved it but now it's not working right so I've been using my mom's kindle fire hd. I like it for having facebook and goodreads and netflix but I like the idea of having something just for reading. I read somewhere that they were going to update the paperwhite so it could connect to goodreads, can yours do that or not yet?

Just bought the e-book of last night!! Almost done with Ruby Red!

Today on Kindle is free!!!!! It looks like a good trilogy! I downloaded it!

I've had a Nook Tablet for about 2 1/2 years. I upgraded to the Nook HD Tablet the Xmas before last and gave my Nook Tablet to my granddaughter. Now I'm thinking of getting the Nook Glowlight for my beach vacation in 2 1/2 weeks. I do have a hard time reading it in the intense sun and the Barnes & Noble guy showed me the difference last weekend. Wow!!

I LOVE my tablet. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. But would like to read without interruption once in a while. I'm always stopping my book to check my FB, or Goodreads, or Twitter, or email, or or or... Too many distractions!! :)

That is why when I bought a new one a few months ago I bought the Kindle Paperwhite. It is purely an e-reader and you can only connect to Goodreads and there are no distractions! I love it!

I'd like to recommend a new book to the group. Its price is $2.45. The book is called "I AM A COWBOY" by Alexander Kurtis. It is a romantic comedy and I enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend it for a pleasant read.

Just got a Paperwhite and love it! I have a Kindle 4 which is still decent IMO but the Paperwhite is an improvement because my hubby goes to bed before me so I can read after he is asleep without hurting my eyes on a non eink screen. I have a Nook Color and love it but use it as a tablet - I converted it to Android Jellybean with a SD card I bought. IMO the Nook Color and Kindle Fire are too heavy to hold to read too long and I like the eink too much to give it up. Just my two cents!

Sapphire Blue is really good to. I have to find Emerald Green and my library only has it on audio. I tried it on audio but would rather read this one.

I live in an area with SO many book stores! I don't know how people without bookstores live...

we have barnes and noble too. but dang.... we have so many small used and interdependent bookstores! I always go small when I can because then I know they will still be around :)

I also get books at our numerous thrift stores, our 'friends of the library' store besides the used book stores, and niche stores... like we have a book store called 'Once upon a crime' that is just mystery....

there are several thrift stores known for having really great deals on books, and I got a brand new copy of The Cuckoo's calling for $3.99...

I'm a sucker for printed books, sales and used books. I do a variety of online, and IRL and I will continue to be a book whore. Its the best kind of whore to be ;)

Also the greatest thing about half price books is their clearance section! If they don't have room for it they clearance it. Which means you can get books they still have on their shelf but don't have enough room for for 2.00 and 50 cents. :)

Just finished "Into the Still Blue" by Veronica Rossi and "Inhuman"by Kat Falls. Also purchased and started reading "Dragonfly in Amber" by Diana Gabaldon. I think I purchase on average 3 books a week. Sometimes more:)
