Although I have a signed copy of Sand Omnibus (Sand, #1-5) by Hugh Howey , I saw that the audio was only $1.99 if I bought the Kindle copy for $5.99. So I did!! ;)

Donna (donanicole) | 897 comments Reckless Magic (Star-Crossed, #1) by Rachel Higginson by Rachel Higginson is keeping my attention. I so love her writing. She wrote all the Love and Decay, Episode One (Love and Decay #1) by Rachel Higginson books and is still producing them. They are short but so good. This book is starting well too and I want to read everything by this author. Oh, and the Love and Decay books are only 99 cents each!

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments What book(s) should I buy next? I'm thinking of buying Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer , Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1) by Veronica Rossi , or Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1) by Tahereh Mafi , and The Selection (The Selection, #1) by Kiera Cass . Wish I could buy all four! Help me decide!

Cinder is FANTASTIC. The Lunar Chronicles has quickly become one of my favorite series. :) I started Shatter Me (and need to finish it) and it was good. It didn't wow me or anything but it wasn't awful either.

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments I've heard really good things about Cinder!! Thanks :)

Can't go wrong with any of them IMO. Under the Never Sky is the only series out of those that is finished, and I read all of them, really wonderful series all the way through. :) LOVED Cinder and Scarlet, still need to read Cress. And loved Shatter Me and Unravel Me, but have not read the last book yet. But I've heard its good!

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments Thanks Jenny! Kindle has Cinder for $2.99 right now so I might just download it!

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments Jenny I can't believe you haven't read Ignite Me (Shatter Me, #3) by Tahereh Mafi yet! You absolutely must get to that soon -

I dropped into Ollie's today since I was up that way and picked up
Origin by Jessica Khoury . I already had it in softcover, but I wanted the hardback and it was only $1.99. So now I have one to give away.

I also stopped by Books-A-Million and found Starcrossed (Starcrossed, #1) by Josephine Angelini in hardback and Of Poseidon (The Syrena Legacy, #1) by Anna Banks in softcover. Those are both YA candy for me - fun series that are a bit of fluff amid all the dystopia/apocalypse I read (lol!)

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments @Jesse and @Jenny I just bought Cinder! Couldn't pass it up for $2.99 on Kindle (Amazon)!

Dnicole, Sand is a brand new story and its fascinating so far. Hugh released it the same way he did with Wool. In 5 books, each longer than the one before, and then finally in the Sand Omnibus, all 5 together. I bought a signed copy directly from him and he threw real sand in it. (Not a lot!) But I see that the sand is from a dog beach. Bwahahahaaa!

Today I was in the city and came across a Barnes & Noble. Got The Eye of Minds (The Mortality Doctrine, #1) by James Dashner I didn't want to get it because it is to much money, $18.99 but I caved, everytime I went to a Barnes & Noble it kept calling me.

LOVED the Diviners. Fair warning--it is super creepy, and the murders deal with the occult, so the imagery is a little disturbing. But if you like suspense thrillers like Dean Koontz or Stephen King, it isn't any worse than those. The setting is perfect, the author really makes you feel like you are in NYC in the 1920s. The characters are the cat's meow, lol, especially the MC. Lots of funny moments to balance out the creepy. I seriously cannot rave enough about this book!
